Trump’s net worth soars ahead of Truth Social stock exchange debut

Former President Donald Trump’s net worth has soared ahead his social media platform, Truth Social’s, expected Tuesday debut on the stock exchange.

The platform is estimated to be worth billions, with Trump’s own 58% stake valued between $3-$4 billion, according to The Hill. That expected additional to his wealth has surged his net worth to an estimated $6.5 billion, according to Bloomberg. That figure has earned a slot on the outlet’s list of the 500 wealthiest people in the world.

The Trump Media & Technology Group, which controls Truth Social, recently completed its merger with Digital World Acquisition Corp, paving the way for the long-delayed stock exchange debut and an influx of capital for both the company and Trump himself. The stock will use the ticker “DJT” in homage to its majority shareholder.

Monday has proved a banner day for the former president’s financial standing, with an appeals court also slashing his bond in a New York civil fraud case from $464 million to a mere $175 million and granting him 10 days to secure the funds.
