Trump to ‘Get out the vote’ in North Charleston on Valentine’s Day
With less than two weeks to go until the South Carolina primary, President Trump has announced a new rally in the Lowcountry.
On Valentine’s Day, President Trump will take his campaign message to MAGA voters in North Charleston as he works to expand his margin of victory over Republican primary opponent Nikki Haley.
The “Get Out the Vote Rally” will take place at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston, South Carolina, on Feb. 14, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. ET.
It is not surprising that Trump is crushing polling in the Palmetto State. A recent Morning Consult poll showed Trump holding a 37-point lead over the former South Carolina governor. Despite it being her home state, Nikki Haley is not in a position to gain enough ground to be considered a close contender.
Nonetheless, Trump seeks to destroy any competition and assert his position as the only choice in the Republican primary. On Monday, he released a new Superbowl-themed campaign ad against Nikki Haley on Truth Social. The ad painted Haley as a weak candidate who has flip-flopped on changing Social Security eligibility standards.
Featuring examples of Haley’s contradicting statements on the issue, Trump captioned the video, “INSTANT REPLAY.”
Trump’s rally in North Charleston on Wednesday will hit hard against Haley, who remains in the race with a dismal chance at victory.
